Take part in one of Cheltenham’s most iconic multisport events — the Cheltenham Lido Triathlon & Aquathlon, set in the stunning surroundings of Cheltenham Lido and the scenic Cotswold countryside.
Whether you’re chasing a personal best or simply taking on a new challenge, this event combines a friendly atmosphere with a professional race experience.
Aquathlon
A fast swim/run event held over two distances which raises funds for Cheltenham Lido. Designed for competitors aged 15+ on the Sprint Distance and 17+ for Standard and Long Distance who enjoy a personal challenge. The race starts with a swim in the heated main pool of the lido followed by a flat run on pavement, grass and parts of Sandford Park.
Sprint Distance Aquathlon - 500m Swim & 2.5km Run -
Standard Distance Aquathlon - 1,000m Swim & 5km Run
Triathlon
The event is aimed at all abilities and fitness levels, from complete novice to club and pro triathlete, as well as charity and fun competitors. Competitors must be over the age of 17 to compete.
The swim is undertaken in the Cheltenham Lido 50 metre outdoor swimming pool, with the run and cycle routes around Cheltenham and through Sandford Park.
Super Sprint Distance Triathlon - 500m Swim 9.2km Bike & 2.5km Run -
Sprint Distance Triathlon - 1,000m Swim 18.2 km Bike & 5km Run
To participate in this event, you are required to become a member of British Triathlon and hold a race licence. You must either become a Core or Ultimate annual member here (www.britishtriathlon.org/join) or purchase a single use Race Pass for your race. A race pass costs £2 for participants under 24 years old and is £8 for those aged 24 years and above.
Start times are subject to change, depending on entry numbers. Start times will be confirmed at least one week prior to the event!
